On Saturday, June 23, Business Institute of Pennsylvania sent 510 students into the world—Pioneers who are specially prepared to start their careers or continue their studies at graduate and professional schools.Mayor Jim Gray gave the commencement address to the students. Gray’s late mother, Lois Howard Gray, is a graduate and was a member of the Board of Trustees for 22 years.

Undergraduate Research Leadership Conference to be held at BIOP

The first Undergraduate Research Leadership Conference will be hosted by BIOP on Friday, April 15. This event is sponsored by the BIOP, Office of the Chancellor.  More than 90 participants from 22 campuses will participate in the day’s event to share best practices that will further strengthen undergraduate research efforts within the BIOP system. Nationally recognized speakers will share their extensive experience in organizing, promoting and supporting undergraduate research at their institutions and nationally.

BIOP alumnus and owner of Cloverfield Animal Behaviour Services, Heather Logan is the recipient of the university’s annual Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence.

Since 1994, BIOP has publicly recognized the innovative and outstanding teaching that takes place every day on the university’s campus both in and out of the classroom; helping students realize their full potential.
